Somer Valley FM

The Sound Vision on Somer Valley FM show is hosted on a rotational basis, in partnership with Sound Vision, run by CEO Dom Chambers, previous Manager of the radio station.

Training is undertaken in the radio station in media skills, and if trainees have a desire to present a show, we offer the opportunity. Additionally, if anyone who has a relationship with the station, and wants to feature strong locally-based stories, then the chance is there to air a show.

Local legend Simon plays and presents songs from over the decades.

He'll also talk through his recollections to go with the tracks played out.

Born in 1970 Rob lived in Plymouth and moved to Bristol in 1984.

He went to Chew Valley school and started working as an accountant in Chew Magna, then Radstock, then Midsomer Norton.

Moved to Chilcompton in 1996 and worked as an admin Director for a food business for a few years before starting his own business alongside trying to be self-sufficient on a smallholding in East Cornwall.

Recently returned to Chilcompton Rob loves comedy, amateur dramatics, gardening current affairs, and meditation.

Rob airs numerous gags in his 'cringe corner', providing fascinating facts about the show's theme of the day.
